Do you know your numbers?
By this we mean things like Maximum Heart Rate and Maximum Aerobic Power (MAP)
One of the best ways to find these is to do a Maximal Ramp Test with us under controlled conditions using the British Cycling Protocol.
We use the latest specification Wattbike Pro for this.
Cost is £70 and includes a full report with all your personal heart rate and power zones, pedalling analysis, power to weight ratio and estimated VO2 Max.
Once we've found your specific numbers we can then accurately set your training load.
For the more experienced riders we also offer Threshold Testing to accurately set Function Threshold Power [FTP], Peak Power and the famous UCI test to find where your natural talent is!
We also offer all Wattbike testing as a stand alone service whether or not you decide to take an eCoaching package.
On the day of the test:
Ensure you are rested at least 24 hours in advance.
Please record the saddle height of your normal bike - centre of bottom bracket to top of saddle.
Bring an ANT+ compatible heart rate chest belt or one can be provided by us for the test.
Bring your normal cycling shoes either Look Keo/SPD/ toeclip - any other pedal systems such as SPD-SL/Speedplay/Time will require you to bring your own pedals.
You will be weighed and your height recorded.
Bring a towel, cold drink and suitable cycling clothing i.e. shorts, sweat vest etc.
